Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and authentication details when you sign up or log in.

• Learning data — lesson progress, quiz and test results, streaks, and practice history.

• Pronunciation audio — recordings you submit during pronunciation practice. This audio is sent to our grading provider, SpeechSuper, for scoring; Tilder does not store your voice recordings.

• Translation text — when you request a full-sentence translation in the Dictionary, only the sentence you submit (up to 300 characters) is sent to our translation provider, Google Gemini. We never include your name, email, or account ID in that request.

• Support messages — anything you send us through Help & Support, including optional screenshots.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve Tilder: to track and display your learning progress, grade your pronunciation practice, translate sentences you look up, process subscription purchases and gift-code redemptions, keep a billing record for subscription-related events, and respond to your support requests.

3. Third-party service providers

We share only what's needed with the following providers, and never sell your personal information:

• SpeechSuper — scores your pronunciation practice audio.

• Google Gemini — powers sentence translation in the Dictionary, receiving only the sentence text you submit.

• Apple App Store / Google Play — process all subscription payments; Tilder never receives your card details.

• RevenueCat — the subscription-management layer we use to connect App Store and Google Play purchases to your account's Premium access.

• PostHog — product analytics, used to understand how the app is used and improve it.

4. Data sharing

Beyond the service providers listed above, we do not share or sell your personal information to third parties, except where required by law.

5. Data retention and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, with two options: a 30-day delayed deletion — your account is locked immediately and cannot be logged into, but can be restored during the 30-day window — or immediate deletion, which is permanent right away. When deletion completes (immediately, or automatically at the end of the 30-day window), your account and associated data are permanently deleted, your email address is freed for reuse, and any files you've shared with support are removed from storage. A small number of billing records are kept in de-identified form for financial record-keeping.

6. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. Deleting your account (see above) is the most direct way to remove your data; for anything else, email us at privacy@tilder.online or reach us through Help & Support in the app.

7. Children's privacy

Tilder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@tilder.online or through Help & Support in the app so we can remove it.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to help protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use Tilder after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
